Our team is on campus and working hard to prepare for your student. Please carefully review the information below regarding upcoming events, upper school electives, summer reading, and uniform guidelines.

Location Change Reminder
This is a friendly reminder that Grades 1-2 will attend Clifton Christian Church at 3241 F 1/4 rd., while Grades K, 3-8 will attend our main campus at 545 31 rd.

Photography Consent Form
Please complete this form to specify the level of permission you would like to give our school to use student images. Parents may grant three tiers of permission:
Tier 1: no photography of your student
Tier 2: photography for internal use only, such as identification and yearbook photos
Tier 3: photography for Ascent Classical Academies marketing, in addition to Tier 2 permissions
Please note: families may update their student’s photography status at any time. If a student’s photography status changes during the school year, permissions will be updated accordingly from the date of the change. If no form is submitted, photography permissions will default to Tier 2 for your student.
To grant specific permissions to a certain child in your family, please submit an additional copy of the form.

Carline Procedures
If your student will be attending the main campus (Grades K, 3-8) please carefully review the ACA Grand Junction Site Guidelines starting on page 12. Please see the carline map below:

If your student will be attending Clifton Christian Church (Grades 1-2) please carefully review the carline procedures below:
To accommodate families with students attending both campuses, Clifton Christian Church will delay the end of carline drop-off until 7:50 a.m. Consequently, carline pick-up will start at 3:10 p.m.
Families will enter into the Clifton Christian Church parking lot from F 1/4 Rd. Please slowly proceed to the drop off point outside of the gym. Teachers and staff will greet students and escort them into the gym to line up for class. Please exit the CCC parking lot from the same entrance. Please do not turn left onto F 1/4 Rd as it will impede the flow of traffic. All exiting cars should turn right toward the I-70 business loop frontage road.

Back to School Nights

Student Uniforms
Please review the uniform checklist to ensure your student has the necessary uniform items prior the first day of school on September 5. To order any remaining uniform items for your student, go to the Lands’ End Uniform Shop and use the preferred school number 900198599.

Upper School Electives
Students in grades 7 and 8 will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fine arts electives this year. In the first semester, all students in grade 7 will take music and vocal performance and all students in grade 8 will take studio art. In the second semester, students in grades 7 and 8 will be able to choose between Band, Choir, Studio Art, and Dance. We are looking forward to a fun and art-filled school year.

Summer Reading
All students entering grade 7 should read The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and all students entering grade 8 should read Shane by Jack Schaefer prior to the first day of school on September 5. Please reach out to Mrs. Drake with any questions regarding summer reading.
