Good Morning, Minutemen Families:
Our second full week of school is off to a fine start. Thank you for taking a moment to review the updates below.
Afternoon Car Line Updates
Thanks to everyone for avoiding the roundabout and entering our car line from the direction of Eden Terrace yesterday afternoon. We were pleased to find that the car line ended seven minutes earlier than our previous best time.
The line on University Street is long at its peak, but it moves quickly. With this in mind, and in the interest of safety, please refrain from driving in the center lane on University Street and attempting to merge into the car line.
Leadership Staff Update
We hope you will join us in thanking Dr. Sharon Dougherty for her tireless efforts during our demanding start-up season. Dr. Dougherty has chosen to end her employment at Ascent for personal reasons, and we wish her the very best going forward.
For the interim we are pleased and highly fortunate to have at hand Mrs. Anna Unversaw, who will serve as the Headmaster of Ascent Classical Academy of Irmo next school year and whose experience, talents, and initiative have already greatly benefitted our school. Mrs. Unversaw will assist with leadership responsibilities on campus while we search for our new assistant headmaster.
