Host a Grade-Level Gathering

Summer Reading
Summer is just getting started and this is a great time to encourage your students to keep reading during the break! While summer reading is not required for students enrolling in Ascent Classical Academy, it is encouraged, especially for students entering grades K-8.
The benefits of summer reading are well documented, including the maintenance of literacy skills and preventing “summer slide” or learning loss. Students who engage in summer reading make gains in reading proficiency, increase their vocabulary, and learn to make reading for pleasure a life-long habit.
The Ascent Classical Academies suggested reading list for the 2025-2026 school year can be found on our website.

We encourage students and their families to visit their local library if you do not have access to the suggested books for summer reading.
