SUMMER EDITION FOUR

Dear Ascent Families,

We are pleased to partner with Schoolpool again for the 2023-2024 school year. This free program is a service of Way to Go, a federally funded program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG). It is designed to help parents with school transportation but there is no obligation to participate. 

To register, go to MyWayToGo.org, click on the blue banner titled, "Looking for your child’s school?" and search for Ascent Classical Academy of North Colorado. If you register to participate, you will receive an email from waytogo@drcog.org informing you of the closest Ascent families. 

Through Way to Go's secure website, you can add comments to indicate special requests or preferences, such as "can provide morning rides in exchange for afternoon rides," or "student is in after-school activities". 

If you are interested in participating in carpooling, it is your responsibility to contact families to make arrangements. The information is also a great resource to meet nearby Ascent families for other reasons such as temporary transportation needs, playdates, and babysitters.  

Information provided by Schoolpool from Way to Go is for your use only. Ascent Classical Academies and Way to Go do not run background checks, confirm valid driver’s licenses or assess insurance coverage on participants. Potential users are advised to screen participants to their personal satisfaction and check their own insurance coverage for carpooling to ensure that they are covered under these voluntary arrangements. No drivers, vehicles, or insurance are provided.

Student Fees and Supplies

Ascent Classical Academy student fees help to cover the cost of textbooks, workbooks, and some literature that students may take home at the end of the school year. Fees also help to pay for several miscellaneous school supplies, including but not limited to copy paper, postage, art materials, facial tissue, writing materials, special project materials, etc. 
 2023-2024 Student Fees*

• Grades K-6: $120
• Grades 7-12: $150
• Family Cap: $400

*Note: Student fees are non-refundable and do not include the cost of extra-curricular activities, clubs, athletics, or yearbook.

Ascent Classical Academy provides a classical education to all students regardless of income. We are therefore happy to waive student fees for indigent students, including students who are free-and-reduced-lunch eligible, homeless, or foster students. Should fees create a financial hardship, please contact Mrs. Greely to discuss other arrangements.

School fees, including athletic fees, can be made online or at the front office.
